Welcome Enzo Buzz and Giorgio Bros!

Veg here!

Good morning to Enzo Buzz and Giorgio Bros in Sao Paulo, Brazil (1 minute 15 seconds because I used Grandpa's atlas and it's the biggest book I have ever seen!) Thank you for your email. I am glad you help your mum to cook. I help my dad.

We normally have a Sunday roast but I really like the look of your lunch. It is very colourful. Thank you for sending a video about your guest blogging. I do not know what to expect from Brazil so it is very exciting. I hope you are enjoying the Olympics. It is very special and you will enjoy them in Brazil in 4 years!

Thank you for the translation!
"Now let's talk in Portuguese. We will participate in the project NeverSeconds representing Brazil this week.
Here in Brazil we do not have (is) all day studying, we studied only one period, or studied in the morning or afternoon - it's cool, you know, gives us more rest is better.
It is not everyone who eats lunch at school, and generally only those who want us lunch at home. This week we will have lunch at school.
We participate in a project at a place called SESC and there we have a place (way) totally different food, is quite different and there will be two days, Tuesday and Thursday.
Here in Brazil we usually eat rice, beans, vegetables in salad or cooked meats and varied. Interestingly, rice and beans, which is what we usually eat, we do not think abroad, here in South America has the same countries that do not like to eat rice and beans and we really like here is the thing we eat more (or more frequently).
So that's it, thank you. It`s all folks, see ya!"

I really like watching your carnivals on TV. They are so colourful. I think I will learn more about Brazil this week.

  3. Hello Enzo Buzz and Giorgio Bros from Brazil,

Looking forward to watching your video blog, but probably not a good idea at work as I will have to have the volume up.

I like beans, pulses and rice and I am really looking forward to the week ahead.

It's awesome to see two brasilian little guys this week! Enzo and Giorgio, I'll love to read about your meals this week, here in VEG's blog. "Rice and beans" is a really amazing combination, isn't it?? Delicious and very nutritious too!

Can't wait for the next posts, it's going to be cool to see brazilian food in your blog, VEG!

  5. Awesome video lads! Keep up the good work!

  6. Rice and beans are popular in the southern US, too. You usually have red (kidney) beans and rice and you can add seasonings, bell pepper and celery. Sometimes people put in sausage or just a ham bone for flavor. I love it but beans bother my husband's stomach so we don't have it often. Even though beans by themselves are a protein when you put them with rice the two foods together have all 10 amino acids necessary to be a complete protein. It's a tasty, cheap and filling meal.

  7. Hi Veg,

    Libby from Melbourne (Australia) here.
I have just left Edinburgh, was there for a holiday, and read that you will be a guest speaker at the Food Festival next weekend.

Unfortunately I will be in Switzerland by then, but I wanted to wish you Good Luck!

I'm sure you'll be great, even if there is a bit of a crowd. Just pretend you are speaking to all your friends who follow neverseconds.

  8. Hi Veg

your cool but hope your school lunches get better

  9. Heeey! So nice to see brazilian kids here! :)
I'm from SP and I do study all day, so I have to lunch at school or in a mall (spending 30 minutes walking) that is the nearest place to eat... Well, you have NOOOO idea how lucky you are to spend only R$10 in your food!! And the food looks so delicious!
    Good work, guys!
